Celebrate National Tequila Day
With El Caballo Gris (Tequila Gimlet)
Ingredients:
2 ounces El Jimador Reposado1 1/4 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup*
Margarita salt
Two sprigs of cilantro
Directions:
1. Combine tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup in mixing glass.2. Pack with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
3. Dip rim of serving glass in water and then margarita salt. Put cilantro sprigs in it, and pour mixture over them. Serve.
*Combine equal parts sugar and water in pot. Heat and stir on stovetop until sugar is dissolved. Let rest until mixture comes to room temperature.
