How nuts are useful for us

How nuts are useful for us

Most nuts generally have high oil content, thus they are a highly prized food and energy source. A large number of nuts are edible by humans and are used in cooking, eaten raw, sprouted, or roasted as a snack food.

While you may have seen Brazil nuts at your local grocery store, and may have even eaten them from time to time, chances are that you are not aware how they can be included in your beauty routine. No matter if you are interested in getting shiny hair, exfoliating your skin, or even losing weight, Brazil nuts could be just what the doctor ordered!

Shiny Hair

One of the biggest beauty treatments that women around the world spend their money on is conditioners for their hair. Everyone wants long, shiny, silky hair. But what if there was a way to make your hair look great without spending tons of money on shampoos, conditioners, and spa treatments? Research has found that the best way to get great looking hair is by eating a diet that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as those found in fish, oils, and nuts such as the Brazil nut. For best results, try eating a few of these nuts each day. After a week or two, you should begin to notice definite improvements in the quality of your hair. In addition, there are several companies that are now beginning to create shampoos, conditioners, and oil treatments made from Brazil nuts. These products typically contain the oil of the nut, which has the majority of the fatty acids. While research on these products is still pending, preliminary studies suggest that they are, in fact, beneficial.

Facial Exfoliate

Another great way that Brazil nuts can be used in your beauty routine is as a facial exfoliate. In addition to the high amount of money that women spend on hair treatments, they also are typically willing to shell out lots of dollars on products that claim to be able to reduce lines, wrinkles, and dry, damaged skin. While these products may produce some results, they typically are very expensive. One great, inexpensive way to create a facial exfoliate at home is by using ground Brazil nuts. Place about 1/4 cup of the nuts into a food processor, and grind until they reach a relatively fine texture. Combine the nuts with a mashed avocado and egg, both of which are beneficial in facial exfoliates due to their high moisturizing properties. Wet your face with warm water, and gently scrub the mixture over your entire face. Rinse the exfoliate off with warm water. The ground Brazil nuts will help to remove dry, damaged skin, leaving your face soft and glowing.

Weight Loss

Finally, Brazil nuts can be included in your beauty routine to help you lose weight. As stated above, Brazil nuts contain high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, which have been found to be beneficial to dieters due to satiating effect that they appear to have. Eating these nuts makes you feel full, preventing overeating between meals and therefore limiting potential weight gain.
